We went through these seven steps at length and looked again at benefits and aims for each - of particular relevance:
AIMS:
To help children learn basic relaxation and stress-reducing techniques;
To help children become aware of their feelings and emotions and learn techniques to manage these feelings;
To develop children's body and spatial awareness;
To develop children's emotional and physical fitness;
To develop children's concentration skills;
To promote positive self-image and self-esteem in children;
To improve general behaviour in children.
