Wagga Wagga Families and Children Services Expo 2013

The Wagga Wagga Early Childhood Intervention Coodination group, in conjunction with FamiliesNSW and Wagga Wagga City Council are proudly hosting a Family and Children Services Expo in the Civic Theatre Precinct on Thursday November 14th 2013. 
We are inviting all services who support families with children aged 0 – 8 years host a stall and provide an activity for this community event. This includes local Preschools and Early Childhood facilities.

 

This expo is an opportunity to raise community awareness of the importance of early childhood and the variety of services available for families and their children. This expo will also be a great network opportunity and provide information about other services in our local area.

 

We have formed a subcommittee to organize this event. Members of the subcommittee are

Susan Macgillycuddy (Kurrajong Waratah), Soraya Apps (ISA - KU), Sara Stockman (CareWest), Cahli Wall (ASPECT) Leanne Rodd (Goodstart) and Jacqui Peters (Goodstart).

 

The Family Children Expo will be held on Thursday 14 November from 3pm – 7pm.

 

The Subcommittee have organised entertainment for the event which includes: Pete the Plumber, Kindermusik, Children’s yoga, Library Story time, Mina’s dance group display. The entertainment will be staggered throughout the time to ensure families and their children have time to explore the community stalls.

 

To make this event possible we are requesting your help. We feel it would be tremendously beneficial to showcase community services such as yours and would like to know what you would like to run as an activity at your stall.   At your stall area, you will be able to provide information about your service to families. As all families will be given a Family and Children Expo bag, services are requested not to provide other bags. Families will be given a card to get stamped by services to go into the lucky draw prizes.

To proceed with this fantastic community day we need confirmation from services about their participation.
